Hillary Clinton Terms WikiLeaks Releases As Source for Terrorist Attacks
Washington (ABC Live):US termed as "deeply disturbing" the release of secret cables by WikiLeaks and said the whistleblower website was "inviting" terrorist attacks by making public documents about some of the key infrastructures projects across the globe.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said release of documents possesses potential damage to US friends and partners.
"The illegal publication of classified information poses real concerns and even potential damage to our friends and partners around the world," she told reporters.
"I won't comment on any specific alleged cable, but I will underscore that this theft of US Government information and its publication without regard to the consequences is deeply distressing," she said in response to a question.
She said the US continues to address all of the challenges it presents and call on countries around the world and businesses to assist us in preventing any of the consequences that could either endanger individuals or other interests internationally.
State Department spokesman P J Crowley said the WikiLeaks was inviting terrorist attacks by releasing the cable that mention some of the key infrastructures projects across the globe identified by the US as vital for its national security interest.
"Without discussing any particular cable, the release of this kind of information gives a group like al Qaeda a targeting list. This is why we have condemned WikiLeaks for what it has done," he said.
"There are strong and valid reasons for classifying vital information, including the identification of critical infrastructure that is important to not only our society and economy, but those of other countries," he said.
My Views:
Wikileaks and US are two sides of same coin, in changed geo-politics conditions, US is trying to wash its old allies for new alignment in all different game from west to east.

China Starts Work on Lhasa to Xigaze Railways Line
Lhasa (ABC Live): China has started on construction work on a strategic USD 2 billion rail network to connect the Tibetan capital of Lhasa with the region's second largest city of Xigaze that borders India, Bhutan and Nepal.
The extension of the 253-km railway line costing about 13.3 billion yuan will take four years to complete, Zhang Ping, head of the National Reform and Development Commission said.
Xigaze city, besides being the home of Panchen Lamas, the second highest Tibetan spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism, is also famous for its proximity to Mt Everest which virtually rises up from it.
The sprawling Xigaze prefecture which has an area of 182,000-sq-km neighbours India, Nepal and Bhutan.
The extension from Lhasa to Xigaze, is the first extension of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, which opened in July 2006 raising concerns in India as it also provided speedier and easier access to Chinese military to move its troops.
China also backed the extensive rail link with network of roads and five airport in the remote region, called roof of the world.
The new section will pass through five counties and over the 90-km long Brahmaputra Canyon, (Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon), to reach Xigaze, a city with a history of more than 600 years and the traditional seat of the Panchen Lamas.
"It will play a vital role in boosting tourism in the southwestern part of Tibet and promoting the rational use of resources along the line," said Liu Zhijun, Minister of Railways.
The extended rail line will be a single line with a speed of 120 km per hour.
Nearly half of the line, or 115 km, will be laid in tunnels or on bridges.
"Laying rail tracks in tunnels in the mountains can avoid passing through the fragile natural reserves in Tibet," Wang Mengshu, a railway tunnel expert and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, told the China Daily.
In a statement, the Ministry of Railways said the extension line avoids four natural reserves in the area.
In addition, using tunnels can help reduce damage to the railway by earthquakes, since Tibet is prone to earthquakes, Wang said.
"But the tunnels will add to the difficulty of construction, as it will be impossible to lay the tracks as fast as in the previous construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, which was built on top of permafrost," he said.
The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the world's highest railway.
Some 960 km of its tracks are located 4,000 meters above sea level.
About 550 km of the tracks run on frozen earth, the longest of any of the world'

Corus Renames As Tata Steel Europe
Mumbai (ABC Live): Tata Steel has renamed 2007 acquired Corus Company as Tata Steel Europe to make the Tata brand more prominent across Europe and reinforce the Anglo- Dutch Company’s sense of belonging to the Indian conglomerate.
"The Tata Steel name and logo will begin to appear on the company's transactional documents, product deliveries, locations and vehicles," said a company statement announcing the rebranding on Monday.
Tata Steel had acquired Corus in April 2007 for over USD 12 billion in a transaction that created one of the world's largest steelmakers, with a major presence in Europe as well as Asia and had started the rechristening exercise some two years back.
"This is the right time to enter a new era under the Tata Steel name, now that we have successfully returned the company to profit following the global financial crisis," Tata Steel Europe (formerly Corus) MD and CEO Kirby Adams, who has already put in his papers as the head of Corus, said.
The statement further said that Corus is adopting Tata Steel as its new identity from today. The rebranding will be a gradual process and "not everything will change immediately", it noted.
"This brand migration will lead to the Tata Steel name becoming much more prominent and widely recognised across Europe and will reinforce our sense of belonging to the Tata Steel family," Adams said.
Corus is the largest steel producer in Europe with an annual revenue of around 12 billion pound.
This is the second identity change for the company as it was formed following merger of British Steel and the Netherlands' Koninklijke Hoogovens in 1999.
With main steelmaking operations in the UK and the Netherlands, the company supplies steel and related services to the construction, automotive, packaging, material handling and other markets worldwide.
It is a subsidiary of Tata Steel and the combined Group has an aggregate crude steel capacity of more than 28 million tonnes and approximately 80,000 employees across four continents.

Virender’s Play “Jisne Lahore Nahin Dekha” Replayed My Mind
Art is something which we can take when where we require in our life; yesterday I got such to watch a stage play “Jisne Lahore Nahin Dekha” written by Asghar Wajahat in Kurukshetra.
I along with my Friend Advocate Ravi reached Kurukshetra from Chandigarh to watch the play at Multi cultural Centre at about 6.30Pm.
I was impressed with the presence of stage lovers present in open air theater and organizers attitude towards human and arts which influence the behaviour of a human.
The play director Virender, a young boy from Haryana Suburban city Narwana and his team comprising of Teachers and students from Kurukshetra exhibited the marvel of human arts indicating reinforcement of development.
The play started with soul soothing music nicely knitted by hearts searching song live performed by young singer and musicians, slowly it take me into my subconscious mind, as change of scenes never gave time to came out of play sequence because of the perfect coordination between stage and music team.
But thanks to Haryana Power department, which forced power break to fill up commercial break vacuum in non commercial expression of emotions.
The power break again reminded me the hard realities in which we , the common men are struggling to survive even after 64 years of our Independence achieved by keeping feet over heads as shown in play Jisne Lahore Nahin Dekha.
But, Rajiv Sanyal, Stage artist and Journalist used this power break by sharing the detail and relevance of play Jisne Lahore Nahin Dekha” written by Asghar Wajahat and Director Virender’s and his team pre stage efforts.
The way Rajiv Sanyal acted swiftly to control Sway emotional syndrome in Public reminded me of great Indian Freedom Fighter Chandrashekhar Azad who had always alternate plan to tackle Sway emotional syndrome.
Mr. Sanyal, who was presiding over the function and his coming out of president ship to a stage play artist to bring back continuity, is a real message for me and others to follow.
Luckily, the electricity resumed and stay with us till the end of great play
The famous play “Jisne Lahore Nahin Dekha” has already being staged by many artists and directors earlier to this but the sense and the message it carried forced audience to think upon the language of love and trust which never limits it self in any geographical limitations.
As a body language expert, the play directed by young director Virender forced me to write on the excellent work done over body language of each and every character of the play apart from their verbal and face selections.
The face selection and command over Urdu language of artists are subjects to be analyzed by body language experts’ fraternity which will certainly reduce the their decision of error while deciding the body language of a person.
God bless Virender and his whole team.
