WMO to Provide Weather Support in London Olympic 2012

New Delhi (ABCNIS): The World Meteorological Organization and the United Kingdom's national weather service, the UK’s Met Office is all set to play important role during predicting weather in ongoing games hosted in London.
Science and technology developments for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (25 July - 12 August and 29 August – 9 September 2012, respectively) will help to deliver increasing accuracy and detail in weather forecasts during the Games and well into the future.

Working with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), the Met Office has been providing essential weather information for planning and logistics over the past two years.

Dinesh Singh Rawat's Views:

The World Meteorological Organization and the United Kingdom's national weather service, the UK’s Met Office has already done its home work for London Olympic 2012 with games avenues specific predictions based on high end meteorological technologies.

India's meteorological department should learn lessons from the World Meteorological Organization and the United Kingdom's national weather service, the UK’s Met Office working during London Olympic games.

I as Researcher Journalist would keep tab on this aspect during my reporting for London Olympic games for ABC News & Info Services(ABCNIS).
