Chandigarh (I-Haryana News):
Haryana on Friday demanded Special package of Rs 4050 crore from Indian
government to compensate the loss incurred due to failure of Monsoon in Rice and
cotton crops.
Information to this effect
was shared by Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister in a press conference at
Haryana Niwas that he has demanded special package of Rs 4050 crore from centre
to compensate the farmers who had suffered losses due to failure of Monsoon in
Kariff season.
Further, Mr. Hooda clarified
that out of asked Rs 4050 crore package,
Haryana has asked Rs 1500 crore for arranging additional power required for irrigation
purposes and Rs 1500 crore for seeds, deepening of tube wells etc.
Mr. Hooda also informed that
the state has demanded Rs 360 crore for repairing of irrigation minors and
rivers, Rs 721.3 crore for converting short term loans into long term, Rs 50.5
crore for public health and Rs 90 crore for rural development.
