After Meeting CBDT Chief Baba Ramdev Takes U-Turn on Jan Lokpal Bill

Sehore (ABC Live): The Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has Taken U on Anna Hazare’s Jan Lokpal bill turn after the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CTBT)chairman Sudhir Chandra met him.

As per information, in a hurriedly organized press conference in Sehore Ramdev has categorically stated that he was opposed the provisions in Jan Lokpal bill to bring Indian prime minister and higher Judiciary under Lokpal purview.

The yoga guru said that finance minister Pranab Mukherjee and CBDT chairman Sudhir Chandra were in touch with him. "Even today I would like to say that the talks are positive", he said.

His comments came a day after the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA) chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met in the national capital to discuss the issue of black money in view of the yoga guru's proposed agitation

Baba Ramdev, who lent support to Anna Hazare in his campaign against corruption when he went on a fast in Jantar Mantar, however, refused to call off his own fast from June 4 till government conceded all his demands.

Reacting to Baba's comments, Arvind Kejriwal, a civil society member said that the probably the yoga guru may not be aware of the full implications of the issue and they would try to convince him why it was necessary.

Dinesh Singh Rawat says, Baba Ramdev was the one of claimant along with Anna Hazare to lead Anti Corruption movement in India but all of sudden Anna Khazare movement for Jan Lokpal Bill Movement shattered Ramdev's dream to lead Anti Corruption movement in India as he was touring India for some time before Anna Hazare's movement.

Now, after Anna Hazare and his team has lost public ground , Baba Ramdev has taken his step with caution and with tactical cooperation with government , in Love or under Taxmen pressure.
