Information to this effect was made by the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Director A N Safaya that Baba's heart stopped beating at 7.28 am on Sunday morning and body will be kept for darshan at Sai Kulwant Hall in Puttaparthi for Monday and Tuesday.
Born as Sathyanarayana Raju in 1926, Baba emerged as one of the most popular godmen in India in modern times initially through acts like producing articles like sacred ash and 'lingam' through sleight of hand and also founding institutions of learning and philanthropy.
Baba, who considered himself a reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi, was hospitalised on 28th March following problems related to heart and respiration and had been lying critical following multi-organ failure.
My View:
Sai Baba of Shirdi was virtually died few days ago when his vital organs failed and remained on ventilator, Today was only official announcement of that.
Also, after the decision who will head cash rich mission.
