Chautala Defends Devi Lal’s Letter Advices Hooda to Learn International Experiences on Nuclear Power

Chandigarh (I-Haryana News): Indian National Lok Dal led Mr. Om Prakash Chautala has defended the letter written by late Ch. Devi Lal as chief minister of Haryana, arguing a Nuclear power plant in Haryana to then prime minister Mr. Chautala while addressing a press conference at his official residence in Chandigarh categorically defended the Ch. Devi Lal’s letter that at that time when he had written letter to Indian Government in 1987, the international experiences regarding Nuclear Power for civil peaceful purposes were not there, when letter in question was written, whereas, now when a Nuclear power plant at Gorakhpur in Fatehabad is being decided to establish, we have recent Global experiences on the basis of these it is not advisable to establish Nuclear power Plants.

Further, Mr. Chautala reminded that , France, the highest Nuclear Power producing  country in Word After the 2011 Fukushima I nuclear accidents has decided to shut its 24 Nuclear Power Plants by 2025 ,replacing  these with renewable energy sources, Haryana Government led by Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda should learn lessons from these international experiences to produce safe power for Haryana.

While replying to failure of Monsoon, INLD chief demanded fresh land mutation to find out exact loss caused in Haryana due to Monsoon failure in harvesting seasons, He also asked Government to disburse Rs 25000 to Rs 30000 per acre compensation to the farmers for damages of their crops.

Stating on rampant corruption in Congress Government, Mr. Chautala pointed out the name of Additional Deputy Principle Secretary to Chief Minister of Haryana, Dr. K K Khandelwal for linking Mahatma Gandhi Name with Corruption in presence of Mr. Hooda and Former Hartron’s MD Mr. Ashok Khemka, who has levelled open corruption allegations on some serving IAS officers and Government has kept mum over these allegations.
